The B1 Intermediate Level is designed for learners who have a solid foundation in French and are ready to engage in more complex conversations and written expression. At this stage, students start to gain real confidence in using the language in everyday situations, both socially and professionally.

By the end of the B1 level, learners will be able to:

• Understand the main points of clear standard input on familiar matters like work, school, leisure, and travel.

• Deal with most situations likely to arise while travelling in a French-speaking region.

• Produce simple connected text on topics that are familiar or of personal interest.

• Describe experiences, events, dreams, hopes and ambitions and briefly give reasons and explanations for opinions and plans.

Course Highlights:

• Vocabulary expansion with practical themes (e.g., health, environment, media, work).

• Improved grammar skills including past tenses (passé composé, imparfait), relative clauses, and subjunctive introduction.

• Interactive speaking practice through role-plays and discussions.

• Listening comprehension using audio and video from native French speakers.

• Writing tasks such as composing emails, short stories, or blog posts.

This level prepares students for the DELF B1 certification and helps build a strong base for advancing to the upper-intermediate B2 level.
